Why It Works

  • NEUROLOGY

When working directly with memory and emotion, your brain actually begins to physically rewire itself, creating new neural pathways.

  • IMMERSION

By prioritizing your personal growth over 3 full days, your progress can build uninterrupted and will compound. Participants and therapists alike, believe the workshop delivers the equivalent of a year of psychotherapy.

  • THE GROUP

We experience both freedom and support when our experience is witnessed and validated by others. By observing the work of others, we may gain as much as when doing our own work.

How It Works

  • EDUCATIONAL PHASE

During this phase you will learn about boundaries, roles and challenges within the family system and how they can impact your development going forward.

  • DEBRIEFING PHASE

This phase includes a review of your background and identifying non-nurturing or abusive childhood experiences and the associated feelings.

  • EXPERIENTIAL PHASE

With the guidance of a therapist you will connect with your younger self at an earlier time and provide that self with what you truly needed.

  • ONGOING STRATEGIES

Participants will receive a set of recovery and empowerment strategies, tools and resources to make permanent these empowering principles in their daily lives.

nothing reached me at the core level like this.”

The Psychology of Trauma Made Simple

WELCOMING HOME THE LOYAL SOLDIER

In order to move forward you may have to redefine your relationship to the Loyal Soldier, formed when you were very young. Its mission was to develop and deploy whatever strategies were necessary to assure your social, psychological, and physical survival. A Loyal Soldier is an important ally to have on your side in childhood.

The image of the Loyal Soldier derives from a World War II epilogue. Hundreds of Japanese soldiers who survived shipwrecks or plane crashes in the Pacific found themselves stranded, alone or in small groups, on uninhabited or sparsely settled islands. Several of these soldiers were discovered many years after the war had ended—one of them thirty-five years later! The most astonishing thing is that, when found, these men exhibited an extraordinary, perhaps fanatical, loyalty to their military mission. Unaware the war had ended, each one, upon being found, was ready to immediately return to the war effort. They were told, of course, the war was over and that Japan had lost. But this was literally unthinkable to them: the war could not be over because their loyalty to the cause was what had kept them alive all those years.
